Cricket match, India Vs Bangladesh

Nice to watch this wonderful match. Bangladesh played really well with 283/9 to reply a mammoth total of India's 370.  I wonder, how Bangladesh replied, if only India cricket team was restricted to ~320 run, there would be a good fight.

Btw, there was this commentator from ESPN who said that, the entry of Bangladesh in international cricket was premature, i strongly protest his comment. If i had the proper resource i would have sued him. There is no way he could second guess about a pride of a Country. Who are they, Gods?

Hope to see some wins over England, West Indies, Ireland etc.

World Cup Cricket and Closure of Educational institutions.

Dear readers, i just heard that the govt. has declared that all the educational institutes will remain close for the duration of whole day when there will be matches at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National stadium.
I am deeply in opposite of this decision.

Seminar-cum-workshop on "Faculty development through research and publication"

Dear readers,
i was invited by the TIARP, SEU, a wing to SEU which is devoted to work on the benefits of SEU in various matters, to a Workshop titeled above. The workshop is about three days long (10-12 april, 2010).

I am kinda irregular in updating my blog. No that i care, cause i hardly believe anybody even reads this, n even ny do, he/she dosent give a damn. lol...

Back to my blogging, they say this program will give tangible amount of benefit in our research and publication but my point of view differs so. You just dont have enough funding, Corruption is everywhere. You must be wondering from where the hell the word "Corruption" comes in here, on the pious responsibility of a faculty. Well there is, you see Publication is a very good way to get promotion in Teaching profession. They say "Publish or Perrish" in USA. So in order to flurish all you have to do is to keep an "Good Student evaluation" and  have some "Publicatoin" (so called). I am a graduate and Masters from Clinical pharmacy and pharmacology department from D.U. I have done some research, well that i could do in terms of our countries context. I am proud that i have done 1 experiment that i instigated here. I have never seen ny other from my department to do that. Well..i hope this workshop helps me to publish my papers.
To my point of view. What SEU is saying is contradictory. They are giving a heavy course load (15 credit) per month. So as a faculty you have to take like 15+ classes (my god ..these are not lectures of class 9 or 10) per month. So in an average you have to spend like 40+ hours just to prepare lectures and practice them before giving lectures. Then there is thing called "Student's evaluation"....well i am really unhappy that how those authorities think about that ...they take those evaluation to seriously.

I say if you really want us to develop. give me time for research. Research is not like playing football for gods sake.  YOu can't run in and kick some theories out of a topic. Reaseach on my point of view takes a lot of time for thinking and planning. Again, it envolves a lot of man power too. THere is always "Cost". So in order to expect a good quality research you have to give us quality time and support. We will make this university grow, We promise, i promise.

Don't treat this University as the "Golden duck" , think of it as a "Thinking Hat".

Januray 21, 2010! I should say,"Bad day"

Well this wasnt the best day for me, as i have seen better days. As i said i work at a University as a lecturer. Today was the Course distribution day. I got the wrost couses 2 teach this semester. Its not like that i dont like teaching students new stuffs but i am not happy about getting new courses in each semester. I am really trying 2 give GRE in the first quardent of this year.

Besides something happened in the office 2. I have kinda argument with a low ranking officer in our dept. I think i am pressing charges in the deciplinary office. I already shared that with my colleagues and the departmental chair. Chariman advised me 2 give written against him. Well honestly i think that i should not press such charges that may cause him 2 loose his job. I hope that this will end serenely.

Oh here is the todays book for pharmacy students. This is mega upload link 2. Just click the link 2 download

Drug metabolism-Uetrecht, Trager

Preference:
Drugs and other xenobiotics can exert awide variety of pharmacological and toxic effects. Inorder to understand these effects it is necessary to understand both the structural parameters that are a direct cause of these effects as well as the factors that control the concentration of the drug in the body, such as absorption, metabolism, and elimination. To fully appreciate drug action requires at least minimal expertise in a variety of disciplines such as chemistry, biochemistry, kinetics and biology. While complicated and demanding in its breadth such knowledge is central to the knowledge base of advanced students of Pharmacy, Pharmacokinetics, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology. However, texts that focus on covering these disciplines in rationalizing drug action are rare. Furthermore, many of the effects are due to metabolites rather than due to the parent drug/xenobiotic and some metabolites, or intermediates that lead to metabolites, are chemically reactive. Therefore, when considering the effects of an agent, all of the metabolites that the body produces from the agent must also be taken into consideration. To try and address the gap in multidisciplinary knowledge required, as the title suggests, the focus of this book is on the chemistry, enzymology and to a lesser extent the kinetics of drug metabolism. As indicated above an understanding of this subject at a minimum requires a basic understanding of the chemistry involved. It is also important that these processes be placed into a biological context. Therefore, Chapter 2 entitled "Background for Nonchemists" and Chapter 3 entitled "Background for Chemists" attempt to explicitly confront these issues and provide the necessary background and context. Since chemically reactive metabolites have major implications for toxicity and since understanding their generation and properties requires the spectrum of disciplines outlined above a chapter is devoted to reactive metabolites. Finally, the only way to master the subject is with practice. Sample problems with answers are provided to facilitate this process.

The organic named reactions!

I am bk..n i am a Graduate now. I really did a lot of career advancement in last 2 years or so. Will catch up soon.

As i am a University lecturer now. i will b adding some ebooks regulary from now-on-wards.

This is the first book. click the link.

The organic reactions.

have fun with it.

The Organic Name Reactions (ONR) section is intended to serve the professional chemist and student by describing organic chemical reactions which have come to be recognized and referred to by name within the chemistry community. A select group has been chosen for addition to this section. Each reaction description is designed to be informative and representative of the pertinent literature; however, it is not meant to be comprehensive. The descriptions are composed of the following: (1) name(s) associated with the reaction, (2) the original and/or primary contributor(s) connected with the discovery and/or development of the reaction, (3) a concise description of the transformation, (4) a reaction scheme, (5) key references, and (6) cross references to other ONR based on commonalities. The index included in this section also lists supplementary terms.

Dear troubled user!- a funny e-mail from my friend.

This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to un-install, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony-Child Support . I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

COMPUTER HIKE!! COMPUTER HIKE!! COMPUTER HIKE!! COMPUTER HIKE!! COMPUTER HIKE!!

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0 , Cook It 1.5, and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5 . Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 !

WARNING!!! DO NOT , under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system. It may even crash your system.

Best of luck,
Amran Howlader

Birisiri- A place for lull and composure!

It was late April and i was getting jaded with the robotic life of metropoliton. So, i called one of my friend to get out of this city and be in joy for some times. Thats when we decided to go some place with river banks and lakes, also i have never seen a Mine before, i have seen great hole in planet surface but not mines with commercial purpose. I with my friends decided to go someplace different than normal vacation spots like Saint martiens, Cox's bazar (with the longest sea beach and 5 star hotels) and even The Man groves (Sundorban). We decided to start our journey in 30th april, we planned our journey for 3 days and in the mean time we decided to visit a old friend of ours in Mymenshing. Actually he was the main initiator for our tour and convener (you can say that cause he invested a lot of his time and money planning for this odessy.

Don't be palled by by long and descriptive intorduction, cause the real fun is about to begain. We started from Mohakhali bustand. The plan was to get there before 5 P.M. but i was requested to collect tickets in advance. I went there at 4 and usually with my giddy knowledge of Street direction i did have to walk about 1 Km to reach that station, and wait for about 1 hr for my palls to show up. My glorious mind was pissed off cause of heat and all the honking and exhaust for all the non-regulated, old n ruined buses. My friends and tour mates come eventually with a lot of hasty and upshot of Jam in dhaka city. I was introduced with two of my new friends Tanim and jimi. The arrival of Tanim to Mohakhali was interesting enough. Due to the fixed time and rush of people leaving dhaka city for the 3 days gap from 30th april to 2nd april, he has to walk, run and let alone hike on some cases to reach Mokhali. Eventually he reached but that was too late, so we decieded to leave one of us and run for Mymenshing.

The journey to mymenshing is about 2.30 hrs but for too much traffic it took about 4 hrs. We rested in a hotel and our rest of the friends Shakil and Tamin joined us. We run for Shakil's home. Shakil's house is a well decorated 4 stored brick build, we get to bath and well that was like heavenly if you ask me cause that was very releaving. We did a lot of mischeaf, had a walk at 3.00 Pm, Oh another friend joined us at Mymenshing Shamim, he is an intern at MMC (Mymensngh medical college), he was a good pal. We went to bed at nearly 4 P.M. and our plan was to run for Birisiri at 8.00 PM. I have one thing to utter, the food at Shakils house was awesome! I really ate a lot not only for that i was hungry but also for the taste. Wow! my mouth is still watering!.

As it was May 1st we really had some problem for the vehicles, we had a lot of Hard time to even reach the bus stand at mymenshing. Mymenshing is good town with freshness all over her unlike Dhaka city. The bus we take was like MURIR TIN in our native language, Piece of Crap in english. Well at least it did the trick, sent us in Birisiri, but we have to push that piece to start that cause the self started of the pell-melled bus was not working.

After a 2.30 hrs of trecherous journey, we reached Norshingdhi, we had a fun running in the bus cause of some beautiful faces and companies! Whatever that may be, we then take three "rickshaw" to reach the main building. We get to go to Shakil's relative house where we were cordially welcomed and refreshed. I had to eat two piece of sweet and a piece of bread. Well then another member of our tour crew, probably some relative of shakil (sorry shakil that i can't remember his name) showed us the way to our first destination - "KOHINUR HILL" famous for the calcium carbonate mining. The mining used to stop some times ago, but this is why we get to see the mine very well. I meet accidently with my training supervisor from NOVO healthcare and pharma Ltd, her name was Tania (full name i dont remember). She was with this husband who is also an known person to all of us. The road to kohinur Pahar was some thing, its like i was in a dead end to earth cause of its trenches and branches, but the scene when we reached there was worth it.

After that we get to see the HAJANG MATA MONUMENT, from where we started to movement to the CHURCH. We have a nice talk with some fellow people who was not so chatty but very helpful. Here are some photos.

By the way did i told you that we have to rent a paddle boat to cross the infamous SOMESHORI RIVER. Man that was awesome ride, bur slow!

In the next day, we went to see the border of India-Bangladesh which was not so far from our present location,

we had a lot fun but we were getting short of our vacation time so we had to return dhaka, we brought a ticket and returned home in the next day. (sorry for the quick finish, but i am tired and need to go to office).

That was the end of our birisiri journey, but i personally will not forget this tour cause it helped me to learn a lot and dont forget that i am introduced with my new friends. Thats something for me, right.
